Sharon Sandin

Sharon Sandin is a registered nurse, certified Alzheimer’s 1&2 trainer, Department of Elder Affairs core trained and certified and American Heart Association BLS instructor.

Sharon comes with 16 years’ experience working in assisted living and Skilled Nursing. She has worked in every position of the wellness department ultimately becoming a registered nurse. During her time working in the Assisted living Sharon enjoyed caring for elder residents and working as a medication technician, she perused in getting her licensed practical nurse license. Sharon quickly worked her way up to a resident service director position running the wellness department – her main function in this position was nursing regulatory compliance, staff recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training. Communicating with resident families, physicians, and third-party vendors to ensure resident continuity of care from a holistic view. Sharon ultimately landed as a company mentor developing multi-state and multi-site experience focusing on training and ensuring community wellness department compliance.

Sharon Sandin was a partner in All Staff Training and Consultants creating power point training presentations to meet several senior housing companies to meet the needs of staff training in different ALF for regulatory compliance and state-mandated training. Completed regulatory audits for communities to meet assisted living regulations and provide recommendations to for the communities to meet state and company regulations.

The past 6 years in she has worked in skilled nursing as charge nurse and community supervisor of infection control preventist. Sharon has assisted in Skill Nursing specific regulatory compliance, assisted in admitting residents to the facility for skilled as well as long-term care and staff orientation and ongoing training. She worked has charge nurse supervising staff, communicating with residents, resident’s families and Physicians. She received her certificate for infection control then became the infection control preventist for the facility. As the ICP she ensured resident decrease the risk for infections and in-service staff on various infection control prevention.
