Executive Director

Dianne Johnson

Dianne Johnson, the Executive Director, was born in a small town outside Buffalo New York,  named Medina.  Medina was close to Lake Ontario.  She graduated from Newfane Central School and then attended Niagara University which is a small university in Lewiston New York.  The university is in sight of Niagara Falls.

I started working in a SNF when I was 14 years old in the dining department. My first “real job” was in 1991 where I was the assistant administrator of an assisted living community in Lockport New York.  I have experienced only a couple different types of employment but they did not bring me the happiness that seniors do. I love working with seniors because of the their different backgrounds.  So many struggle(d) and yet display positive attitudes.  I have become wiser due to the many things I have learned from them.  They taught me the true meaning of empathy which has allowed me to show genuine compassion to all.  The Blake has impressed me because they care about the smallest details to enhance the lives of the elderly.  The guidance and kindness shown to me by The Blake family has taken me by surprise.  This is something I have not experienced at such a high level anywhere.  When I am not working, I enjoy my family, three grown children and one grandchild.  We all enjoy kayaking, hiking and the beach.
