Sue was born in Asheville, N.C. and moved to Farmville, N.C., where she was raised and still calls Farmville home. She attended Campbell University and received her Nursing degree from Wilson School of Nursing. She has been an R.N. for 50 years.
She was initially led to the nursing industry in 1984 when she became a staff developer in a nursing home in Farmville. She then became a hospice nurse and moved to Assisted Living in 1998. She never looked back. The residents and their families are the reason Sue loves senior living. “The Blake is resident-driven and holds its staff above the company. This is very important when it comes to a great place to work,” said Sue.
When she isn’t at work, Sue has 7 grandkids and two dogs that keep her entertained. She loves spending time on her iPad and watching Fox News.
