Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Scott has spent the past 10 years in North Carolina after living in South Florida for 15 years. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School near Brighton Beach in New York City, studied liberal arts at Brooklyn College and received an Associate of Science degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
For 10 years, Scott served as the executive chef within the North Broward Hospital District, working with Aramark in both a 150- and 500-bed rated acute-care facility and another 10 years cooking exclusively for seniors at a North Carolina independent living community.
He is pleased to find a company like The Blake that values great quality food served restaurant style. He understands that both residents and their families greatly appreciate the quality of food, level of service and well-appointed dining rooms found at The Blake at Edgewater.
Scott’s hobbies include spending time in front of a campfire, cooking outdoors and shooting. When he’s not working or completing his “honey-do list,” he can be found relaxing, drinking plenty of coffee, playing Minecraft or practicing his jaw harp or didgeridoo.
