Frampton Construction Co. LLC wrapped up work late this summer at a new 100-unit locale for older residents near Summerville.
The Blake at Carnes Crossroads is opening off U.S. Highway 17A in the emerging master-planned community. Sitting on a 3.7-acre site at the property’s front gate, the 84,000-square-foot building is the Charleston-based contractor’s third facility for Blake Management Group in South Carolina. Sister operations are The Blake at Woodcreek Farms in Elgin and The Blake at Edgewater in Indian Land.
Carnes Crossroads eventually will feature hundreds of homes as well as medical offices, shops and restaurants. Dozens of homes, amenities, a school, parks and a church have been built in the 2,500 acre community, developed by Daniel Island Co.
Construction of The Blake at Carnes Crossroads began in spring 2016. Frampton Construction joined with Cardinal Ventures, a senior living developer from Ridgeland, Mississippi, and parent of Blake Management Group.
The group pledges “senior housing excellence” through developing top-notch communities that provide high-end housing, wellness, dietary and activities. The facilities are designed to enhance residents’ dignity and quality of life. Blake Management Group focuses on offering luxurious, home-like communities with resort style perks.
The Blake counts a collection of 13 communities in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and South Carolina. With offices in Charleston and in Charlotte, Frampton Construction describes itself as a regional full-service construction firm zeroed in on planning and design support, preconstruction, construction services and sustainability services. The company is positioned to manage projects in the Carolinas and beyond, Frampton Construction says.
