BATON ROUGE, La., May 12, 2017 – Blake Management Group is pleased to announce that Regina Hatcher has been named the 2017 Advocate of the Year by the Louisiana Assisted Living Association (LALA). Hatcher is the Executive Director of Blake’s newest senior living community, The Blake at The Grove, scheduled to open this August in Baton Rouge. LALA’s Advocate of the Year Award is presented to an individual volunteer or Community who has performed significant advocacy service on behalf of LALA, and must have demonstrated an unusual commitment to educating others about preserving the dignity, well-being, and independence of senior living residents.
A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Hatcher is no stranger to Baton Rouge, as she has lived in the area since graduating from LSU with a degree in Medical Technology. She has over eleven years of experience in senior living, having served the past five and a half years as the Executive Director at Sunrise of Baton Rouge. Hatcher has volunteered and served on numerous, relevant community boards to include the Junior League of Baton Rouge, Alzheimer’s Association, and the Louisiana Assisted Living Association. She has also been recognized by Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital area with its prestigious Rosemary Award.
The senior community she leads, The Blake at The Grove, will feature suites with upscale amenities designed for comfortable, safe, and enjoyable senior living. The 111 independent living and 67 assisted living floor plan options include two-bedroom, one-bedroom and studio suites. An adjoining Memory Care support facility focusing on Alzheimer’s and dementia care will feature an additional 35 suites specifically designed to provide a home-like environment where those residents feel safe and free of frustrations.
