Jessica is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). She completed her internship to earn the title of CTRS at a another Assisted Living community in Mobile, AL. Following her graduation from USA, she began practicing Recreation Therapy in Memphis, TN. She moved to Jackson, MS last year to continue her practices.
Jessica began volunteering in the field of Recreation Therapy in 2010 when she was a sophomore in high school. Since then, she has volunteered with many Recreation Therapy departments in different populations, including: Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, adolescent, geriatrics, developmental disabilities, and mental health.
She loves being able to help others! Everyone has different likes and tastes, and to better help who she is working with, Jessica often has to research and learn more about certain things. This allows her to learn new skills and sometimes develop new hobbies. Jessica loves that everyone at BMG is welcoming, staff and residents alike. Everyone wants to make sure the other is taken care of and offers to help.
When she isn’t at work, you can almost always find her at a restaurant in town. She loves to eat. She also loves going to CrossFit, taking her dog to the park, going to the beach and finding new things to do.
